“Triple Paste was the ONLY thing that helped my little guy. After no sign of relief from another brand, I turned to Triple Paste and noticed improvement after one application. I use it daily to prevent and have had no rash or irritations since.” —H.T., Lakeside, CA

What Is Diaper Rash?

Diaper rash is a very common skin ailment. At any given time, approximately 30% of children in diapers are suffering from some degree of diaper rash. It generally can appear from the ages of two months to four months, or until your child outgrows diapers.

Diaper rash first appears as redness or chafing of skin covered by the diaper. If left untreated, the skin will become more raw and irritated. You may notice oozing and dampness in the skin folds. Severe cases can develop open sores. If ignored, severe diaper rash can lead to widespread infection by bacteria, yeast or fungus.

Certain conditions can cause diaper rash or make it more difficult to heal. Frequent loose bowel movement containing harsh digestive juices often cause diaper rash. Heat and humidity also add to the problem. Prolonged warm, moist conditions can cause the normally harmless germs present in this area to grow more rapidly in skin folds and irritate your child's skin.

There are other reasons for diaper rash, like an allergic reaction to wipes or detergents. Even grown-ups can suffer from it. It's normal. It's expected. And it can be treated very effectively.

WHAT DOES DIAPER RASH LOOK LIKE?
Diaper rash most commonly starts with redness. It appears on the area covered by the diaper, the buttocks and thighs and genitals. These irritated areas can worsen and sometimes ooze or bleed. If baby has diaper rash he or she will be very uncomfortable when you change his or her diaper.
